  4. For the traditional witches

Before his untimely passing, occult author and traditional witch Peter Paddon did our community a service by publishing a great selection of his teachings and path workings in a variety of formats. His books have become, for many, prime texts for walking the wise way.
For those who have not experienced Peter Paddons work, his original podcast (the crooked path ) is still pretty much intact and FREE on his original YouTube channel (praise the gods!)
Anyone who wants what is basically a free audio course on traditional witchcraft from, in many people’s opinion, one of the crafts brightest and best, give it a go!

I only wish fate had seen fit to share him with us for longer.

Some witch’s charms are just draw string pouches with things stuffed inside. These are safe enough for a peep, but leave the sealed up ones well alone. Always remember that. Here we have three dear old bumble humble bees, put carefully in a blue leather pouch and hung up out of the way in the best room in the house, they will bring health, happiness and sweet good fortune to this sun blessed spot. A widespread Devon charm, this one recovered in 1949 from Dawlish.’ Scarborough Museum has two charms consisting of ash twigs in bags that were worn to cure seizures - one from S. Devon (1912) (in this example the twigs are split and the cure is specifically for children) and one from London (1927) (information supplied by Tabitha Cadbury - see her report ‘The Clarke Collection of Charms and Amulets’ in the museum library).

The bells. I can’t tell you how long I’ve pondered over these ominous talismans. They hang in the cemetery I like to frequent and seem to be hand forged with ringers inside that look very similar to bones, but I can’t be sure since they are so high up. I’ve come up with so many stories about how they got there and what they mean. I may have to write one down soon!💀 photo by @mountain_beard #alleghenycemetery #forwhomthebelltolls #dingdongthewitchisdead

My Fiance’s family is going through a hard time with his grandmother dying. She’s dying of a collapsed lung and broken trachea. It’s not an easy way to go. She’s basically suffocating to death.

I wouldn’t do it until she was in Hospice, had officially given up and they were actually helping her die, but would anyone know of any spells that would like… aid a person in going peacefully? Like for someone whose already dying, I just want to make it peaceful for her rather than the gasping for breath I know is bound to happen.

    Anyone?

Well first of all I want to give you my condolences, although employing magic in these circumstances is never easy it is often necessary.
I would suggest a petitioning of the spirits or any deities you work with who have a psychopomp or death aspect,
If you aren’t the kind of witch to have connections to these entities then you could petition your ancestors.
Make offerings and maybe use a fetish or some sympathetic magic to ask the entities to accept your fiancé’s grandmother the moment she is ready.
This is just what I would do, I can’t claim to be experienced in this exact situation.
I hope this helped and I wish you all the best whatever you choose to do.
